Eugene continues to watch over Cedarcroft, unable to cross into the afterlife, due to the love and devotion for his wife and daughter, which has anchored his spirit to Cedarcroft, even after their deaths.
103 years later, his apparition is regularly observed in the dining room, which is located right below the master bedroom where he entered the afterlife.
